How the Field Manual Complements Remote Viewing and Why It Matters Now
Before most people ever heard the words psi, remote viewing, or non-local perception, there was already a hard, documented attempt to turn “the paranormal” into something trainable, repeatable, and operational.
That attempt has a name: remote viewing—and one of the central figures associated with its protocolization is Ingo Swann. Declassified U.S. intelligence documents show that remote viewing research and training were funded and evaluated over decades, with formal protocols, experiments, and assessments—then later reviewed in official evaluations commissioned by the CIA. And the reason those stories land is because the capacity isn’t fictional in principle—it’s simply untrained, unstable, or drowned out by noise for most people.
Layer 4: AI, Electronics, and the Next Century
Ingo Swann, in later public discussions, warned that technology would reshape labor and society dramatically—and he suggested a provocative divide: computers may become powerful teachers of methods, yet the human nervous system remains the instrument for certain forms of perception.
We include that perspective here for one reason: it aligns with a sober distinction: Electronics can store and route information with extreme speed. Humans can become coherent enough to access information without standard sensory pathways—if that channel exists and can be trained. If psi is an embodied Field capacity, then AI may help train the protocol while still not “doing” the act in the same manner as other Fields potentially can.
